Repairs make a long life
High-quality materials and careful workmanship ensure that our garments last as long as possible. Still, DRYKORN pieces are everyday items which sometimes need repairs after years of wear. Offering repairs – even beyond the warranty period – has therefore always been part of our service.
Artisanal Repairs - Made in Germany
Since 2024, we have been working with Kunsto in Bayreuth to repair our most challenging cases. Founded in 1945, Kunsto specializes in high-quality repairs – in particular invisible mending, a technique that only a few people still master today. During our visit in fall 2025, we were able to see for ourselves the expertise, precision, and patience with which the garments are restored to their former glory.
Invisible Mending
Invisible mending is exactly that: repairing holes or tears in knitted or woven fabrics in such a way that the repair is as invisible as possible.
For knitwear, a matching thread is taken from a side seam of the garment itself, ensuring that the color, material, and structure are exactly the same. The original knit pattern is then replicated so that the repair blends harmoniously into the overall look.
For woven fabrics like blazers, the warp and weft threads are reconnected. Threads that match the color are woven in according to the weave pattern.
All of this is done by hand and seeing it in person is nothing short of magical. Even very damaged garments look flawless again, reviving the old favorite.
Our service for you
We do most repairs inhouse. Since all our warehousing is at our HQ, we can resort to using only original parts for our repairs. If the repair requires specialized skills, we send the piece to Kunsto, along with original parts. You can contact us for repairs, no matter how old your DRYKORN piece is. Important to know
Not all damage is repairable. Whether a repair is possible depends on the material, type, and size of the defect, and the effort involved – and ultimately on whether you want to have the repair done. We review each request individually and discuss the options with you transparently.
