FOR A BEAUTIFUL PLANET

HOUSTON, WE HAVE EMISSIONS

We like reaching for the stars, but far-fetched goals are of little help when it comes to climate action. To keep our feet on the ground and make an active and real contribution to environmental protection, we rely on the findings of science. We have therefore had our climate targets officially reviewed and confirmed by the professionals at the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).

OUR SCIENCE-BASED TARGETS

46 % REDUCTION

of greenhouse gas emissions from Scopes 1 and 2 by 2030 compared to the reference year 2019.

Scope 1 comprises direct emissions from our own sources (e.g. exhaust fumes from company cars). Scope 2 are indirect emissions from purchased energy (electricity and natural gas used at the company sites).

SCOPE 3

Collection of Scope 3 Emissions and initiation of reduction measures.

Scope 3 comprises emissions that arise indirectly from the company's activities along the value chain (e.g. production and transportation of goods).

Mind your own business first

Together with the climate protection organization myclimate Deutschland gGmbH, we once again calculated our corporate carbon footprint in 2025.*

Compared to the previous year, we have an increase of 26% in CO2-equivalent (CO2e) emissions.

Why?

In Scopes 1 and 2, there was a net increase of four metric tons, mostly driven by a colder winter and increased heating. However, compared to our Scope 3 emission increase, this one is negligible.

Measure for progress

The real increase, more than 4.200 metric tons of CO2e, came from within our supply chain – or Scope 3.

The reason for this is quite simple: We measured more of our emissions. It's our second SBTi goal to measure Scope 3 emissions and to reduce them. So that's what we did:

  • We measured more raw materials, now covering more than 90% of our material volume;
  • We assessed the emissions of trims (such as zippers, buttons, etc.);
  • We measured the emissions of plastic product packaging and the production step “Spinning”.

Next year, we aim to finish our Scope 3 assessment by accounting for life cycle emissions of our products. Then, we aim to get to reducing Scope 3 emissions.

* All CO2e-emissions were calculated based on emission factor set “myclimate Release 1.24.3” by myclimate Deutschland gGmbH

20.547 tons

of CO2 make up our carbon footprint for 2024.

99%

of our emissions are generated within our supply chain.

-61,5%

reduction in direct (Scope 1) and energy-related (Scope 2) CO₂ emissions compared to the base year 2019.

Our SBTi progress

We reached our first Science-based target by achieving a reduction of Scope 1 and 2 emissions of 63% compared to the base year 2019 for the first time in our CCF 2023, which we calculated for the FY 2023/24.

We did so mostly through the solar panels which were installed on our buildings in 2022 as well as the ongoing elctrification of our company vehicle fleet.

We managed to hold our Science based target with an reduction of 61,5% CO2e in 2024/25 compared to 2019. So, it's a little bit less than before but still well above the target of 46%.

Regarding our Second Goal, as mentioned above, were currently engaged in measuring Scope 3 emissions and searching for our first reduction measures.

Let's talk about Product.

Immense resource consumption, precarious working conditions, or the exploitation of animals - these are all problems of the fashion industry to which we belong. That's why we clearly position ourselves against fast fashion through our values and products.

Let's talk about people and actions.
